Routine Operations Postponed Across North Wales
All planned routine operations in north Wales over the next week have been postponed because of "increased pressure".
The hospitals affected include Wrexham Maelor hospital, Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor and Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.
It is understood that urgent operations will continue.
Cumbria University To Accept Bitcoin For Tuition Fees
Some students at Cumbria University are to be allowed to pay tuition fees using Bitcoin.
The digital currency will be accepted for two new course at the university examining complementary currencies.
A system for processing the payments is already operational.
Cumbria is thought to be the first public university in the world to accept the currency, although a private one in Cyprus announced last year that it would do so.
Police Called To Discount Store To Deal With Angry Shoppers
Police had to be called to a closing down sale at a discount store after prices were put back up to full price.
The 99p Stores in Wrexham had launched a half price sale, advertised to run until 28 January.
However, police had to be called after the store ended the sale putting prices back up to 99p. Shoppers became angry and refused to leave.
The shop had been due to close as its lease had run out, but the sale was stopped after a new lease was agreed.

UK Inflation Remains At Current Rate
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), UK Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation remained unchanged at 3.1% in September. Including a higher proportion of housing costs, the Retail Prices Index (RPI), fell back slightly to 4.6%.

UK House Prices Continue To Increase
A new survey has said house prices in the UK are now 5.8% higher than this time last year. The latest study by Nationwide said prices increased by 1% in October to bring the average price of a home to £173,678.

Troubled high street retailer Woolworths is to hold its "biggest ever" sale, as the search for a buyer for the chain continues. Administrator Deloitte said it would slash up to 50% off goods - including toys and greetings cards - in an attempt to clear shelves as it remains in talks with potential buyers.
