Two British Women Drown In Tenerife
Two British women have died trying to rescue their children in Tenerife.
The females got into difficulties in the water at Playa Paraiso on Sunday.
The two children, aged 10 and 14, were recused by workers and tourists.
A third woman aged 38 was also saved.
The women who died were named Uma Ramalingham, 42, and Barathi Ruvikumar, 39.
A spokesperson for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: "We are aware of reports of an incident in Tenerife and we are in touch with the local authorities and providing consular assistance."

UK sees 20% increase in multiple births over 10 years
Mothers are having 20% more multiple births than they were a decade ago, according to figures released today by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Statistics have revealed that in 2002, the multiple birth rate was 15 per 1,000 women giving birth, compared with 12.5 in 1992.

New Data Shows Women Hit By 'Mid-Life Pay Crisis'
Female managers over 40 years old are earning 35% less than men, according to new data by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and XpertHR. To earn the same as a male manager over a career, a woman would have to work the equivalent of over 14 years more.

Roache Claims To Have Never Met Victims
The trial of William Roache has heard that the Coronation Street actor does not remember ever meeting any of his alleged victims. 81-year-old Roache is accused of two counts of rape and four of indecent assault against five women aged 16 or under between 1965 and 1971. He denies all charges.

Seven protestors arrested at airport
Police have arrested seven people at Prestwick airport after boarding a plane to search for bombs being transported to Israel. According to reports, three women, aged 48, 55 and 68, and four men, aged 35, 46, 50 and 56 were arrested around 3:30am on Monday.

Emergency contraception ‘does not encourage’ unsafe sex
The sale of the ‘morning-after’ pill over the counter in the UK has not increased its use or changed patterns of use, a new study has found. Emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) has been available without prescription to British women aged 16 or over since January 2001, costing between £20-£25.
