Missing Tottenham Boy Found Safe Following Appeal
A nine-year-old boy who vanished on Thursday from a playground has been found safe and well in north London, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Officers issued an appeal for Daequan George after he disappeared in Stamford Close at around 20.00 pm.
Scotland Yard said he had gone missing before but had never stayed away from home for a whole night.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police has said: "Given his age, officers are growing increasingly concerned for his wellbeing."

Former police officers arrested in Lynette White murder case
Five retired police officers have been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a Cardiff prostitute 17 years ago, South Wales police have confirmed. Twenty-year-old Lynette White was found murdered in a flat in the Butetown area of Cardiff on Valentine’s Day, 1988.

Detectives in Glasgow are continuing enquiries after a woman was indecently assaulted on Saturday in the Govan area. The 37-year-old woman was in a car park at Water Row, just off Govan Road, at around 8.30pm when she noticed a man lying on the ground.

Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.

Police Recruits 'Could Be Unpaid'
In a bid to save money, the Metropolitan Police Authority are considering whether potential police officers should work as unpaid volunteers for 18 months before employment. Regardless of previous qualifications and experience, police recruits currently receive 25 weeks of training, earning £23,000 during their first two years.
