Reports Emerge Railway Worker Is Struck By Gatwick Express
A railway line worker has been seriously injured after he was hit a Gatwick Express train, travelling at 80mph.
According to reports the incident happened on 24 June near Redhill in Surrey. The man is understood to have been supervising a gang carrying out track maintenance when he was struck by a passenger service from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria.
An investigation is understood to be looking at the sequence of events and factors that may have led to the accident.

Lib Dems To Discuss Airport Expansions Following Amendment
Two Liberal Democrat MPs are understood to have tabled an amendment that would allow for the expansion of Gatwick Airport. The party has to date opposed airport expansion, but it is understood that Lib Dem leadership are supporting the new amendment, which would see Gatwick becoming exempt from restrictions.

London Victoria Evacuated After Fire On Train
London Victoria train station had to be evacuated at the start of the morning rush hour following a fire in the undercarriage of a Gatwick Express train. It is understood the train, which was on platform 13, was empty at the time of the fire, and Southern Rail posted on Twitter, "No-one was hurt which was good.

Four men have been arrested at Gatwick Airport after returning to the UK when they were refused entry into Turkey. The Metropolitan Police said that the men, aged 32, 36, 37 and 38, had flown to Turkey last week, but had been refused entry at Antalya Airport.

Gatwick Airport Begins Ebola Screening
Gatwick Airport has started screening passengers arriving from countries currently at risk of the Ebola virus. The screening will commence at the north terminal of the airport, but will be extended at the south terminal by the end of this week.
