Sacked Minister Sends Apology Letters
Alun Davies has sent letters of apology to each of the Ams that he had tried to access private information on, despite clear rules against the action.
Mr Davies was sacked as environment minister on Tuesday after it was revealed that he had asked officials to get him details on farm subsidy payments.
It is understood that Mr Davies was told by staff that the information was not publicly available, but he is said to have "put pressure" on them to get him the information.
The five AMs have now received a letter of apology from Mr Davies, stating that he had not intended to use the information for "political gain nor public use".
