Met Concerned For Irishman Who Did Not Return To Hotel

The Metropolitan Police have expressed their concerns for the whereabouts of a 37-year-old Irishman they believe is missing in London.

John Dowdall, from Scarriff, Co Clare, is known to have travelled to London on 31 July, booking into a hotel in the Cricklewood area of northeast London.

However, staff at the hotel contacted police after they discovered that Mr Dowdall's belongings, including his medication for diabetes, phone, passport and wallet, had been left in his room. Mr Dowdall has not been seen since Thursday 07 August.

Irish police officers from Co Clare are understood to be helping Met officers try and trace Mr Dowdall, who is said to be dependent on his medication.

Anyone with any information of Mr Dowdall is asked to contact police.
