UK House Prices Increase By 10.2%
UK house prices rose by 10.2% in the year to June 2014, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
House price annual inflation was 10.7% in England, 3.5% in Wales, 6.0% in Scotland and 4.9% in Northern Ireland.
House prices are increasing strongly across most parts of the UK, with prices in London again showing the highest growth.
Annual house price increases in England were driven by an annual increase in London of 19.3% and to a lesser extent increases in the South East (9.7%) and the East (7.9%).

UK annual house price inflation in June 2007 was 12.1%, up from 10.8% in May 2007. Annual house price inflation in London was 17.5% in June, up from 14.3% in May. The UK annual house price inflation rate for the 3 months to June was 11.3% and 15.1% in London. The UK house price inflation rate rose from 10.8% in May 2007 to 12.1% in June 2007.

UK House Prices Rise
In the year to February 2012, UK house prices increased by 0.3 per cent, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS). The average UK mix-adjusted house price was £224,473. Average house prices increased in both England and Scotland by 0.4 per cent and 1.1 per cent respectively.

Halifax reports house prices rise
House prices rose by 1.6% in August, the UK’s biggest mortgage lender, has reported. However, the Halifax warned that the rise could be temporary, boosted by the recent interest rates cuts by the Bank of England. The price rise in August followed a modest 0.4% increase in July and was the biggest monthly rise since September 2004.

Western Britain sees biggest house price increases
Homeowners in western Britain have seen the biggest house price increases in the UK over the last decade, the Halifax has reported. Cornwall saw the biggest rise, with prices increasing by 268% from 1996 - an increase from £53,081 to £195,388. Anglesey was second, with a 252% rise in prices, followed by Ceredigion in Wales with a 244% rise.
