Woman Arrested Following House Fire
A woman aged in her 30s has been arrested following a house fire in Ruabon, Wales.
At around 5.08am this morning (27 August), emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in Wynn Avenue, Ruabon.
Neighbours were able to help a girl, 10, and a seven-year-old boy from the fire.
They were taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital as a precaution after suffering from slight smoke inhalation.
North Wales Police have confirmed a 30-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
They said they are treating the incident as "suspicious".
Anyone with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Three fire fighters have been injured - one of them being seriously burned - as they rescued an elderly woman from a house fire in Bolton. The 71-year-old victim later died, but three other people's lives were saved after being rescued from the blaze, a man in his 70s, a 24-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after five children died in a house fire on Victoria Road in Derby. The ages of the children who died range from five up to 10-years-old. A sixth child, aged 13, has been transferred to a hospital in Birmingham for specialist treatment.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.
