Police Release Images Of Woman Stabbed With A Pen
Police have released images of a woman who was stabbed with a pen on a coach in an attempt to find her attacker.
Mrs Cynthia Bell from Durham, was at the coach park on Seasiders Way, near to Chapel Street Bridge, assisting with her husband's coach firm when a man entered a coach and refused to leave.
As Mrs Bell went to stop the man tampering with the controls around the driver's seat, he then grabbed a pen from the dashboard and stabbed her in the arm. He then ran off the coach, heading down the sloping path onto Chapel Street.
DS Mark Dickinson from Blackpool CID said: "We are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry including CCTV and forensic opportunities. I am particularly keen to identify and speak with two young women who were with the offender and I would ask them, or anyone who recognises them from their descriptions, to contact me as soon as possible."
The offender is described as a white male, 6ft, of a stocky build in his late teens or early twenties with short dark hair.
