Inquest Begins Into Death Of Duchess Hoax Call Nurse
The inquest into the death of Jacintha Saldanha has gotten underway today at Westminster Coroner's Court.
Mrs Saldanha had answered a call at King Edward VII hospital, where the Duchess of Cambridge was being treated for severe morning sickness. She transferred the call to a nurse on the Duchess's ward, who subsequently revealed private information about her condition.
It was later exposed that the call have been a hoax, carried out by two Australian DJs.
Mrs Saldanha was found dead on 07 December in 2012, three days after the hoax call.
It is understood that a preliminary inquest a senior police officer reported that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The inquest is expected to hear from nine witnesses and will last approximately two days.
