Man In Hospital Following Road Incident
A man is in hospital after the van he was driving struck a lamppost before hitting a shop.
The accident happened on the A814 West Clyde Street in Helensburgh at around 8.10am on Tuesday.
The man is thought to have fallen ill while he was driving.
His condition is not known. No further details are available.
Police have said the A814 is closed between William Street and John Street because live wires have been exposed on the damaged lamppost.
Diversions are in place for motorists.
Woman Dies In Cliff Fall
An elderly woman has died after falling from a cliff in Newquay.
At around 3.20pm on Monday (29 September), police and the coastguard were called to Porth Beach in Newquay after a woman was found unconscious in a cave.
The victim, believed to be in her 80s, is thought to have fallen from cliffs close to Whipsderry beach. She was taken to Treliske Hospital for treatment, but was later pronounced dead.
A file is being prepared for the Coroner.
Appeal Following Fatal Car Accident
Avon and Somerset Constabulary has appealed for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Pensford.
On Sunday (28 September), two cars collided on the A37 in Pensford shortly before 5.30pm. A 66-year-old woman died in the accident. She was the driver of a Porsche Boxster which collided with a Toyota Avensis taxi that was coming in the other direction.
The woman was taken to Southmead Hospital where she later died from her injuries. The taxi driver suffered minor injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
Woman Robbed In Blackpool
A 69-year-old woman has been robbed on Blackpool promenade.
The incident happened at around 10.15pm on Wednesday (24 September). They woman was sitting in a tram shelter opposite the Savoy Hotel. She was holding her handbag which contained an iPad and other personal items.
It is understood the offender reached under the Perspex shelter and grabbed the victim's handbag from her.
The woman's hand was injured in the incident.
The offender then fled the scene into the Gynn Square Park area where he is thought to have discarded the bag in a bin. He is thought to have briefly spoken to a woman in the park before running off.
The offender is described as a white male, 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall, slim build and was wearing a hooded top, dark bottoms and trainers.

Disabled Woman Found Dead In Car
A disabled woman found stabbed to death in her car near her home in Harlow, Essex, has been named. Jennifer Macaree was discovered in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday. Essex Police confirmed she was in the driver's seat of her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat shortly after 3am.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.

Man Dies While Trying To Save Another Man From Tube Tracks
A man hit by a tube train while trying to rescue another man who had fallen onto the tracks, has died. Police reported that a 35-year-old, from London, was hit by a Tube train at Old Street Station at about 12:22 on Sunday. He died later in hospital. It is understood he had been attempting to rescue another 32-year-old man who fell onto tracks.
