Max Clifford Launches Appeal Over 8-Year Sentence
Max Clifford has launched an appeal against his eight-year sentence for indecently assaulting four women and girls between 1977 and 1984.
According to reports Mr Clifford's defence barrister has gone to the Court of Appeal to argue that the length of the sentence had been "unfair" and that Mr Clifford is not a danger to women.
It is understood that 71-year-old Max is watching the court proceedings from prison via a video link.

Clifford Jailed For Eight Years For Indecent Assaults
Publicist Max Clifford has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a string of indecent assaults. Judge Anthony Leonard said he must serve at least half of his sentence. Clifford, 71, was found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault against four women aged between 15 and 19.

He was however cleared on two charges of indecent assault, while the jury was unable to reach a verdict on another charge. Clifford, 71, faced 11 charges in total.

He faces charges relating to seven alleged victims, between the ages of 14 and 19, between 1966 and 1985. Speaking outside the court, Clifford said he was "totally innocent" of the allegations.
