Max Clifford Appears In Court On Assault Charges
Max Clifford is to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today where he faces 11 charges of indecent assault.
The alleged assaults are said to have been committed between 1966 and 1985 and relate to seven different women and girls between the ages of 14 and 19.
Mr Clifford, who is a PR consultant to numerous celebrities, has said the claims are "completely false".
The 70-year-old was originally arrested in December under Operation Yewtree and was charged in April.
Operation Yewtree was set up following allegations about Jimmy Savile and has three strands. The first concerns Savile's crimes alone, while the second relates to allegations against Savile and others. The third strand, under which Clifford was arrested, focuses on accusations unconnected to the Savile investigations but which emerged as a result of the publicity surrounding the former BBC presenter and DJ.
Clifford has denied the allegations against him and vowed to clear his name in court.
