Manchester Dogs' Home Issues Warning Over Donations Fraud
Manchester Dogs' Home, which was badly damaged in a fire on 11 September, have issued a warning that anyone going door-to-door in the Manchester area collecting money on their behalf, is a fraudster.
It is understood that people are calling at houses claiming to be raising money for the home – fifty dogs died in the fire at the centre – and asking people for their bank details.
The Home took to Twitter, posting: "Warning to public: Anyone coming door-to-door in the Manchester area to set up direct debit donations to the Dogs' Homes, it's not us!"
Anyone who thinks they may have been scammed is urged to contact police.
