Police Killer Harry Roberts To Be Released From Prison
A notorious killer is set to be released from prison after serving 48 years.
Harry Roberts, 78, was jailed for killing three unarmed police officers in Shepherds Bush, west London in 1966.
Roberts has allegedly been cleared for release by a parole board.
Roberts murdered PC Geoffrey Roger Fox, 41, Detective Sergeant Christopher Tippett Head, 30, and Detective Constable David Bertram Wombwell, 25 in August 1966.
Police Federation Chair Steve White is appalled at the decision and said "life should mean life".
He said: "Let’s not forget, this menace murdered three unarmed police officers in cold blood and it is abhorrent news. This decision by the parole board is a slap in the face for the families of the three police officers he brutally murdered who, once again, are forced to re-live their pain and loss. It will spark fury among everyone in the police family who will feel badly let down."
Roberts is expected to leave Littlehey Prison in days.
