Homes Evacuated After Shop Collapses
A number of homes in Wirral have been evacuated after two derelict buildings collapsed.
A former shop and a flat collapsed in King Street, Wallasey, at about 19:40 on Wednesday.
Eight people in nearby properties were asked to leave their homes as a precaution, while emergency services assessed the situation.
A rescue dog was called in to help search the rubble, while engineers ensured the local gas supply was isolated.
No one was injured in the incident.
An investigation into the collapse is underway.

Ceiling Collapses On Bridgend Shoppers
Five people have been treated in hospital after a store ceiling in Bridgend town centre collapsed on shoppers. Retailer Home Bargains, located on Market Street, was evacuated after the ceiling fell down around 1140 BST. Five shoppers were treated in the store for minor injuries and were later taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital for checks.

More Than 350 Councils To Receive New Homes Bonus Payments
Housing Minister, Brandon Lewis, has published the final allocations of New Homes Bonus Payments to over 350 councils in England. The total awarded to councils since the scheme's introduction is£3.4 billion, for delivering more than 700,000 new homes and conversions, and bringing over 100,000 empty homes back into use.

Traffic Disruption Expected After Section Of M25 Collapses
Motorists are being urged to avoid the M25 near Leatherhead as three lanes have been closed due to a collapsed section of road. It is understood that a section of the road collapsed and left large potholes at about 05:30 on Friday morning. Recent roadworks and heavy rain are believed to have caused the damage.

Serious injuries as scaffolding collapses
Three people have been seriously injured after scaffolding collapsed at a building site in Milton Keynes. Fifteen stories of scaffolding at the Witan Gate site, where a new Jury's Hotel is being built, collapsed on Tuesday around lunchtime. Up to 20 ambulances were reported to be at the scene, along with air ambulances, fire crews and police.

Man Injured After Wall Collapses On Top Of Car
A man in his 60's has been injured after the wall of a house collapsed on top of his car in Birmingham. The incident occurred in Richmond Hill, Oldbury, at approximately 5.30pm on 27 May. The second storey wall of a neighbouring house collapsed on top of the vehicle while the man was inside. Emergency services attended the scene.
