Two Arrested At Heathrow In Terrorism Offences
Police have arrested a man and woman at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.
It is understood that a 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were arrested at about 22:30 on Tuesday night after they arrived in the UK on a flight from Istanbul, Turkey.
Police confirmed that a couple from Walsall were detained by officers, but stressed that there had been no risk to the flight and added that the arrests were "planned and intelligence-led".
Follow-up searches have also been carried out on two addresses in Walsall.

Police Given More Time To Question Walsall Terrorism Suspects
Police have been given more time to question three people arrested in Walsall on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism acts. Detectives from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) appeared before London's Westminster Magistrates Court via video link to submit their request for a warrant of further detention.

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of terrorist financing offences, according to the Metropolitan Police. They were arrested at four separate addresses in London, Cardiff and Coventry at approximately 6am on suspicion of being concerned in the funding of a terrorist organisation, and laundering the proceeds of crime for that purpose.
