PM Announces New Unit To 'Hunt' Online Paedophiles
The Prime Minister has announced a new joint unit of the GCHQ and National Crime Agency to tackle online paedophiles, making and sharing child abuse images.
David Cameron made the announcement at an event in London, where he said child abuse images were produced and shared on an "almost industrial scale" worldwide, and that the new unit would "hunt" paedophiles with the effort used to track terrorists.
Mr Cameron also unveiled that it was to be made an offence to send sexual messages to children.
The Prime Minister was speaking at the We Protect Children Online summit in central London.

New Unit To Tackle Online Piracy
A new police unit has been announced that will seek to tackle intellectual property crimes such as online piracy and counterfeit goods. Intellectual Property Minister, Lord Younger and City of London Police Commissioner, Adrian Leppard launched the unit today. The government claims it will be one of the first units of its kind in the world.

Former Labour Councillor Jailed Over 'Grooming'
A former Labour Party councillor has been jailed for 15 months for attempting to meet a child after sexual grooming. John Friary, of 311 Camberwell Road SE5 was sentenced on Friday at Isleworth Crown Court after grooming what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl online. He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register.

Charity's Head of Finance Arrested On Suspicion Of Fraud
Police in Swansea have arrested the head of finance at a homeless charity on suspicion of fraud. Police arrested 47-year-old Mark Davies, who works at Cyrenians Cymru, on suspicion of defrauding the charity of almost £800,000. Mr Davies has been released on bail while the economic crime unit continues its investigation.

Gloucestershire Police have reported the death of a woman following an "incident" at a diving centre. It is understood paramedics were called to the National Diving and Activity Centre in Tidenham in the Forest of Dean on Saturday.
