Teen To Serve At Least 18 Years In Jail For Murdering Man In Alleyway
A teenager has been sentenced to at least 18 years in prison after he was found guilty of stabbing a man to death in an argument over a cigarette.
Kai Steele, 18, from Charlton, received the indefinite sentence, after a jury at the Old Bailey found him guilty of murdering Alex Scott, 26, in an alleyway in south east London last year.
Steele stabbed Mr Scott twice in the chest on 10 August 2014.
His co-defendant Dillon Beckford, 18, was acquitted of the same offence.

Ten Jailed Over £36m Drug Smuggling Plot
Ten men convicted of attempting to smuggle drugs worth £36 million into Britain in a rusty tugboat, have been jailed. The smugglers – including British criminals and members of a Serbian gang – were caught trying to flood the UK with 12.5 tonnes of cannabis resin, following a surveillance operation by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca).

Police Shoot Man Following Stabbing Incident In Hersden
A man has been shot by police after being called to attend an incident in Hersden where a woman was stabbed. Police initially attended the scene at around 11.20pm on Sunday followed by firearms officers and police negotiators. The man and woman, who are members of the same family, are both in a critical condition in hospital.
