Mother And Lover Convicted Of Manslaughter Of Ayesha Ali
A woman who tortured her eight-year-old daughter has been convicted of her manslaughter. The woman's lover has also been convicted of manslaughter.
Ayesha Ali was discovered dead in her bedroom after she suffered a blow to the head at her home in Essex on 28 August 2013.
Emergency services found her body covered in bruises and she had also sustained almost 50 injuries.
An Old Bailey jury found both women guilty of manslaughter, however they were cleared of murder.
The couple have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced on Friday.

Body Of Convicted Killer Found
The body of a convicted killer who escaped from an open prison has been found in his car in Derbyshire. Martyn Hughes, 50, from Norfolk, was serving three life sentences for the murder of his two stepchildren and the manslaughter of his wife. He failed to return to Sudbury Open Prison on Sunday after being granted temporary leave.

A man has been found guilty at the Old Bailey of the manslaughter of a DJ stabbed through the heart. Junior Ademujimi-Falade, aged 21 from Landor House, Elmington Estate, SE5 was on Wednesday found guilty of the manslaughter of a teenage nightclub DJ in 2009.

A teacher who pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter in relation to the death of a 10-year-old boy who drowned on a school trip has been sentenced to 12 months in jail. Paul Ellis, 42, from Cleveleys, near Blackpool in Lancashire, had pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Max Palmer.

A 29-year-old man has been found guilty of the manslaughter of 21 cockle pickers who drowned at Morecambe Bay. Lin Liang Ren, from Liverpool, had denied being the head of the cockle picking operation, which brought over illegal immigrants to collect cockles, and denied the manslaughter charges.
