Body Found On Glasgow Farm Confirmed As Missing Student
Police in Scotland have confirmed that a body discovered on a farm north of Glasgow was that is missing Irish student Karen Buckley.
Human remains were found at the isolated farm on Wednesday by officers searching for the 24-year-old, who had gone missing in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Confirming that official identification had been made, Det Supt Jim Kerr said: "We cannot imagine the pain and suffering of Karen's family and friends and our thoughts are with them at this very sad and distressing time."
A 21-year-old man arrested in connection with Ms Buckley's disappearance is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff's Court today.

Man Arrested Over Broadwater Farm Shooting
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a double shooting at Broadwater Farm, Tottenham, on Sunday. Police were called after shots were heard being fired at around 23:42 on Sunday night. When police arrived, they found two men, both aged 21, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigation Underway After Hay Bales Destroyed By Fire
Approximately 100 bales of hay have been destroyed by a fire which firefighters suspect may have been started deliberately. The blaze was reported to fire crews at 7:30pm at Contullich Farm, Alness on 21 July. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent two appliances from Invergordon to tackle the fire.

Man Cleared Of Killing Police Officer
A man, accused of killing police officer Keith Blakelock in 1985, has been cleared of the charge. Nicholas Jacobs, 45, had previously denied killing Mr Blakelock. Blakelock was stabbed 43 times at Broadwater Farm, Tottenham, during riots that happened in north London.
