Man Dies Following Street Attack In Huddersfield
A man has died after he was attacked in a street in Huddersfield.
The victim, aged 69, is understood to have suffered head injuries in the incident.
West Yorkshire Police said the man was assaulted near the KFC restaurant on New Street at around 11.12pm on Wednesday night. He was taken to leeds General Infirmary, but on Thursday afternoon he passed away from his injuries. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.
Two local men, aged 23 and 30, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody for questioning, police added.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, is asked to contact police via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man Arrested Over £1m Heroin Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of heroin, with an estimated street value of £1 million. Police Scotland recovered the heroin, along with a quantity of tablets, a firearm and ammunition, during the search of a property in Inverleith Street in Carntyne. A 33-year-old man has been charged with drug find.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Paddington. The body of Michael Walser, 45, was discovered at his flat in Gloucester Terrace W2 on Sunday 24 June 2012. A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a head injury.

Investigation Launched Into Hotel Body Find
A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in a Hull hotel room. Police said they were called to the Ibis hotel on Osborne Street at 13:00 on Sunday, where they discovered the body of a woman. She is yet t be identified.
