Man Charged Following Woman's Murder In West Yorkshire
A 44-year-old man is due to appear at Calderdale Magistrates Court today, 1 June, charged with the murder of Mahala Rhodes.
Detectives from West Yorkshire Poluce were called to an address in Rooley Heights on Wednesday 6 May. There, they found Miss Rhodes, 42, with fatal stab wounds. Malcolm Cromie was arrested at the scene and detained in hospital while he received treatment for stab wounds.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Snow, from West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "Malcolm James Cromie, from Rooley Heights, Halifax, was discharged from hospital and into police custody on Sunday 31 May. He was subsequently charged with Miss Rhodes' murder and is due to appear at Calderdale Magistrates this morning."

IPCC Ask North Yorkshire Police For Savile Review
North Yorkshire Police has been asked to review “all relevant material” relating to contact its officers had with Jimmy Savile. According to the BBC, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is acting "in light of information received" and said it wanted to know whether there were "conduct matters that should be referred to us".

Baby 'Critical' After Ambulance Crash
A four-week-old baby has been critically injured after the ambulance he was in skidded on ice and overturned. The baby boy was being taken from Preston to Leeds in the vehicle when it skidded and overturned on the M62 at the junction with the M621, West Yorkshire Police said. He has been described as "seriously ill".
