Newspaper Claims Missing Mother And Son 'Safe And Well'
A woman, who police are trying to find after she went missing with her son, has reportedly contacted a newspaper to say they are both "safe and well".
Police in Avon and Somerset issued an appeal for help tracing 35-year-old Rebecca Minnock and her three-year-old son, Ethan, who went missing on 26 May.
It is understood that Ms Minnock went missing a day before she was due to appear in court for a custody hearing.
According to a report by The Sun newspaper, Ms Minnock contacted them through a family member to say that they were "safe and well", and that her son was "very happy".
The newspaper added that Ms Minnock told them she had "lost all trust and faith in the system completely" after a judge ruled that her son should live with his father.
The newspaper also said that it did not know where Ms Minnock was hiding.
Police said that still hoped to hear from anyone who might know when the mother and son currently are.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Somerset Investigations on 101.

A man has appeared before a district judge charged with murdering a woman and her baby. Wesley John Williams, 28, was charged with the murders of Yvonne Walsh, 25, and her seven-month-old son Harrison. Williams from Birmingham spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Rebecca Minnock And Son Found 'Safe And Well'
Police have reported that Rebecca Minnock and her three-year-old son Ethan have been found "safe and well". Rebecca, known as Becky, had been missing with Ethan since May 26. She made contact with police on Friday 12 June. It is understood that she was staying in the Oxford area.

Police investigating the deaths of a mother and son are questioning two men. Heather Wardle, 39, and her disabled son James Hughes, 22, went missing last Friday after she said she was walking to a friend's house in Redditch. Ms Wardle's body was found with a ligature around her neck in woodland on Tuesday.
