Witness Appeal After Blind Man Assaulted In City Centre
Police in Birmingham have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a partially sighted man was dragged across a city centre street.
Police are searching for a man caught on CCTV approaching the man on Moor Street, Queensway, at about 21:00 on 27 May. It is understood the suspect asked the man for cigarette, however when the man refused he was grabbed by the shoulders and dragged towards a car park.
Police released CCTV images of the man they want to speak to.
PC Zeke Dixon from Birmingham’s violent crime team, said: "We are sure someone will recognise the man caught on CCTV- this was a frightening experience and we would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or knows the man pictured to call officers on 101."

A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Two Arrested In Connection With Mosque Fire
Two men have been arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack on a mosque in Gloucester. A fire was reported at the Masjid-e-Noor mosque in Ryecroft Street at around 12.50am on Tuesday. It is understood that CCTV caught footage showed a man pouring liquid around a door before setting light to a rag and tossing it at the door.

MoJ Reveal Drone Used In Prison Smuggle Attempt
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has revealed that a drone was used to try and smuggle a package into the grounds of HMP Bedford. An MoJ spokesperson said that the aircraft was "quickly intercepted by vigilant staff" on 06 March.
