Man Charged Over Walsall Cocaine Find
Cocaine worth an estimated £140,000 has been seized by police in Walsall during a vehicle stop following a suspected drug deal.
Police stopped a white Peugeot car in Magram Terrace, Walsall, after witnessing what they believed was a drug deal.
Officers searched the van and found an estimated £140,000 worth of Class A drugs inside, believed to be cocaine.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Officers subsequently carried out a search on his home and recovered approximately £15,000 in cash.
Sergeant David Simpson from Walsall Police said: "This is a significant seizure of drugs which we are really pleased we have removed from the streets of Walsall.
"We take all reports of drug dealing very seriously: we know how much misery it can cause in our neighbourhoods, attracting an undesirable element and other criminality, and will take decisive action to stamp it out."
