O2 Arena Evacuated Following Restaurant Fire
Up to 1,200 people were evacuated from the O2 Arena on Sunday when a fire was discovered in a restaurant inside the complex.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, reporting that it was contained to the restaurants extraction system.
Station Manager Martin Freeman who was at the scene said: "Although this was a small fire it did create a lot of smoke and so security staff evacuated people from arena.
"Crews quickly tackled the fire and then searched the ducting between the roof and the ground floor to ensure that they had thoroughly damped down any remaining hotspots. There were no injuries."
Police Name Teen Killed In Birmingham Collision
West Midlands Police have named a teenager killed in a Birmingham collision.
Kane Balogun, 14, was a passenger when the car he was travelling in collided with a tree.
Emergency services were called to Stetchford Road and Beaufort Avenue just after 11pm on Friday 16 October following the collision.
Kane was treated by the ambulance service but despite the best efforts of medical staff he died at the scene.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and was later bailed pending further enquiries.
Man Charged With Escaping Lawful Custody
A man has been charged with escaping from lawful custody in connection with an incident at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on 22 September.
Daniel Paul Murray, also known as Daniel McAvoy, was arrested in Dartford on Friday 16 October, and has been charged with escaping from lawful custody.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Man In Court Over Prison Van Escape
A 31-year-old man has appeared in court in Manchester charged with escaping lawful custody, following an incident when a prison van was ambushed in Salford. Three masked me ambushed the prison van as it made its way to court on April 30. Stevie McMullen, from Salford, and a second man, 20-year-old Ryan McDonald escaped from the van.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.
