'Terror' suspects released without charge
The remaining four people arrested during police anti-terror raids in northern England have been released without charge.
The four were arrested under the provisions of the Terrorism Act 2000 last week as police carried out a number of raids in the Greater Manchester and surrounding regions.
Of the nine men and one woman arrested on April 19, police have confirmed that none were charged in connection with terrorist charges, but that six were subsequently re-arrested and bailed for other offences.
The Assistant Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, Davis Whatton, said that "inquiries were continuing" as police sought to ensure the safety of people in the area.
It is understood that one of the men re-arrested is to be deported today over infringements of immigration laws.
