Heathrow Tube closed after knife death
The Tube link to Heathrow airport has been closed after a teenager was killed at a west London station last night.
British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police were called in to Hounslow West Underground station late last night after an 18-year-old man was stabbed during a fight involving up to eight people.
The knife victim was taken to hospital after police arrived at the scene at 11.20pm, but he died shortly after arrival.
Two men were arrested and are in custody at a west London police station.
Hounslow West Underground station was closed and Piccadilly Line services are not expected to get back on track before 1pm, pending the completion of the police search of the area.
London Underground (LU) has apologised to passengers but said the move was necessary.
Fifteen alternative bus services have been set up in order to cope with the anticipated transport chaos.
Passengers are advised to seek alternative routes – such as the Heathrow Express and other overland routes – and to allow more time for their journeys.

Arrests Follow Edmonton Murder
Police investigating the murder of 15-year old Negus McLean in Edmonton have today made a further two arrests. A 14-year old boy, and a 16-year old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. Police were called at 7.25pm on Sunday 10 April to reports of a stabbing in Westminster Road, north London.

Father Appeals Over Paralysed Son's Shooting
The father of a teenager paralysed in a shooting incident has joined investigating officers to urge witnesses to come forward. Speaking from his son's hospital bedside Paul Smith said he knew people had information about those who shot and injured Raphael Smith, but couldn't understand why they had not spoken to police.

Police Hunt Following Teen Murder
Police are appealing for information following a murder in Southwark. Teenager Lyle Tulloch, from Peckham was stabbed at Newall House in Harper Road on Saturday. Lyle, 15, was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts from emergency services. A post mortem gave the cause of death as stab wounds and haemorrhaging.

Riot Police Deployed As G8 Protesters Occupy Former Police Station
Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.
