Fiancé admits Joanne Nelson killing
The fiancé of Joanne Nelson has admitted responsibility for her unlawful killing at Hull Crown Court.
Paul Dyson, 30, of Hotham Road, Hull, was charged with the murder of Ms Nelson, whose body was found in woodland near Malton, North Yorkshire on March 24. The 22-year-old Jobcentre worker, who lived with Mr Dyson, had been missing since Valentine’s Day.
Mr Dyson was charged with Joanne’s murder on or around February 13 “at a place unknown”. His barrister, Gary Burrell, told the court today that Mr Dyson admitted to the killing of Ms Nelson, although he did not enter a formal plea to the murder charge.
Mr Dyson was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Hull Crown Court again on June 30 and his trial is expected to begin later this year.
