Police hunt for hooded gunman

Police are searching for a hooded gunman suspected of carrying out two shootings in north London.

A white man wearing a grey hooded top was spotted at the scene of both shootings, which took place on Wednesday night.

In the first incident, a man was seriously injured after he was shot in Upper Street, Islington just before 7pm.

The victim, believed to be in his thirties, suffered "potentially life-threatening injuries" from a gunshot wound, police said.

Around half an hour later, police received reports of shots being fired at Finsbury Park tube station. A woman was shot in the back during the attack.

The woman, thought to be in her twenties, was taken to hospital, but her injuries were not life-threatening and she has since been discharged from hospital.
