Teenager stabbed to death in London
A murder investigation has been launched after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in a street in south London.
It is believed that the victim, who was black, was with a group of friends who had just got off a bus in Black Prince Road in Lambeth on Thursday night.
After getting off the bus, they are believed to have been coralled into a side street by a gang of black youths and a row broke out between the two groups.
The teenager, who has not yet been named, received a single stab wound to the left side of his chest. He was taken to hospital by a member of the public but was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
Streets have been sealed off in the Lambeth area and a forensic examination is taking place, while police officers conduct house-to-house enquiries.
CCTV footage is also being analysed.
Detective Superintendent Richard Heselden appealed for witnesses to come forward. He said: "It was a warm summer evening and we are sure the streets would have been busy at the time of the murder."
The suspects are described as being black males in their late teens, wearing dark clothing.
