Soldier dies during training
A 19-year-old soldier has died while training on exercise in Wiltshire, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
It is understood that the incident happened on Sunday afternoon at Ludgershall, near Tidworth Barracks.
Wiltshire Police said that the soldier, who is due to be formally identified later, died after suffering a fatal injury in an industrial accident.
The soldier is a private from 9 Supply Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps, who are based at Hullavington, Wiltshire.
The Health and Safety Executive was informed of the death and has now launched an investigation.

Troops arrested after field excercise death
Five soldiers have now been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, following the death of a soldier at army barracks in Wiltshire. The 22-year-old serviceman collapsed and died around noon on Monday, following exercises at Lucknow Barracks in Tidworth. On Monday, four soldiers were held for questioning, and on Tuesday a fifth was arrested.

Soldier Is Latest Afghanistan Victim
Another British soldier has been killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan. In what is fast becoming a near daily litany of tragedy, the soldier, from the 2nd Battalion The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, died in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province on Wednesday. Next of kin have been informed.

British soldier killed in Iraq
A British soldier has died after being involved in a shooting in Iraq earlier this week. The soldier, from 58 Battery of 12 Regiment Royal Artillery, died as a result of injuries sustained in a shooting in the town of Al Qurna, north of Basra, on Tuesday, the Ministry of Defence confirmed.
