Paedophile forced from home by neighbours' protest
A convicted paedophile has been forced to move from his home following angry protests by his neighbours.
More than 50 people staged an angry demonstration outside the home of Robert Oliver in the village of Bishop's Lydeard in Somerset on Monday.
Police eventually moved Oliver, 51, from the area last night.
Oliver, who had changed his name to Francis Lee, was a member of a paedophile gang responsible for the death of 14-year-old Jason Swift, who was killed during a homosexual orgy in 1985.
Oliver had served 10 years of a 15-year sentence for manslaughter and was released in 1998.
He was being monitored by Mappa, the agency established to manage serious violent and sex offenders following their release from prison.
His whereabouts had been revealed in an article published in the 'News of the World' on Sunday.
Deborah Small, a 37-year-old mother-of-four from the village told reporters that there were lots of families with small children in the area and said that it was "an absolute nightmare" that Oliver had been placed in that area.
