Investigation into troops cocaine claim
The army has launched an investigation following claims of drug taking by soldiers at a UK barracks.
'The Daily Record' claimed to have received mobile phone footage of young soldiers snorting white powder.
The soldiers belong to the Royal Regiment of Scotland. It is understood that the newspaper received the footage from another member of the regiment, who told the paper: "It is not hard to get drugs into the base because soldiers do not normally get searched when they go in.
"On a Sunday or when they have a day off, they know they will not be hassled by anyone, so they pretty much do their own thing."
According to the 'Daily Record', the footage was shot on a Sunday around three weeks ago.
The Special Investigation Branch of the Royal Military Police has launched an investigation.
