Fresh appeal over Peckham bedroom shooting
Police investigating the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Michael Dosunmu have issued a fresh appeal for information.
Michael was shot in his bedroom after two gunmen burst into his home in Diamond Street in Peckham, south-east London last Tuesday.
Four people - a 20-year-old man and three male youths aged 17, 16 and 15 - were arrested in connection with his death the following night and were released on bail last Friday.
Police said that they did not believe that Michael was the intended target of the gunmen and they have linked his death to the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in a street near Michael's home, the weekend before he was killed.
Michael's parents have released a statement, which thanked the police for their support and for keeping them informed of developments in the case. The statement said: "We will appeal to friends and the public not to aggravate our sorrows by casting aspersions, innuendo or blame during this period.
"A leaf will not fall out from the branch of a tree without the knowledge of God."
