Bus crash women named
Two women who died after being hit by a bus in Cheshire on Monday have been named.
Jenny Webb, 83, and her daughter Jean Webb, 53, were struck by the bus as they were crossing Mobberly Road in Knutsford around 8:45am on Monday morning.
The single decker 288 Arriva bus, which was travelling between Altrincham and Knutsford was carrying 12 passengers, including schoolchildren, at the time, but no-one on board was hurt.
Early eyewitness reports had indicated that the bus had mounted the pavement before hitting the women, but police later said that the bus did not leave the road.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.

UK sees 20% increase in multiple births over 10 years
Mothers are having 20% more multiple births than they were a decade ago, according to figures released today by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Statistics have revealed that in 2002, the multiple birth rate was 15 per 1,000 women giving birth, compared with 12.5 in 1992.

Two killed in bus crash
Two women have been killed in a crash involving a bus in Cheshire. The collision happened around 8:45am on Monday morning on Mobberly Road in Knutsford. According to initial eyewitness reports, the bus mounted the pavement and collided with the two women. However, police later said that the bus did not leave the road.

Police have renewed their appeal for information on the whereabouts of Derek Serpell-Morris, aka DJ Derek, following a new credible sighting. The 73-year-old was seen by friends at Yate bus station on either July 16 or 17 at approximately midday.
