Man held over taxi driver's death
A 20-year-old man is being held by police on suspicion of the murder of an elderly taxi driver in Kent.
Gian Chand Bajar, 71, died on Wednesday night, after he was assaulted and then run over - possibly twice - with his own taxi cab in St Benedict's Avenue in Gravesend.
His taxi was found later, abandoned and burnt out in nearby Truro Road.
Taxi drivers in the area have accused police of not doing enough to ensure their safety by failing to adequately tackle taxi assaults.
Police said that they have not ruled out the possibility that the attack on Mr Bajar, who was a Sikh, was racially motivated.
