Police Renew Appeal For Information On 1994 Taxi Driver Murder
A reward of £20,000 is being offered for information leading to a conviction for the 1994 murder of Ethsham 'Shami' Ghafoor.
Mr Ghafoor was found in his taxi shot dead in the early hours of 22nd November, 2014, in Lambley Lane, Gedling, Nottinghamshire.
A team of detectives are reviewing the investigation ahead of the 20th anniversary of the 26-year-olds death.
Mr Ghafoor was found by a milkman at 04:30 in the morning.
The original investigation had established that Mr Ghafoor believed he was being followed and had been assaulted in the weeks prior to his death.
A total of 11 people have been arrested in connection with the murder but no one has ever been convicted.
Police have appealed for anyone who saw Mr Ghafoor on the night of his death, or saw his distinct black and white Ford Sierra taxi on the night.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the incident room on 0115 844 6913 or independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

The government have announced special measures are being taken against 11 hospitals over "major failings". The hospitals were among 14 investigated over high death rates, with health secretary Jeremy Hunt saying that the 11 highlightes had "problems so entrenched that tough action was needed.

'Dramatic Fall' Expected In Cancer Death Rates
