Three Arrested In Biker Murder Case
Police have arrested three men in connection with the murder of Hell's Angel biker Gerry Tobin who was shot dead on the M40 in Warwickshire.
They were detained during early morning raids on two properties in Coventry and one in Nuneaton.
The men are presently being questioned at Warwickshire police station.
Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland renewed an appeal for anyone who saw a dark green Rover 620 on the afternoon of the attack to contact the police urgently, and added that it was an active and ongoing inquiry. Police are believed to have received over 600 calls about the murder.
Earlier this week CCTV footage was released of Mr Tobin, 35, at a petrol station minutes before he was shot in the back of the head.
Motorists reported seeing the car driving off at a great speed immediately after the attack, and officers are now studying hours of CCTV footage.
Rebecca Smith, Mr Tobin's fiancee, has paid tribute to him as a man "with the heart of a lion and a soul filled with compassion and selflessness."
