Massive Cocaine Seizure In Ireland
Cocaine with an estimated street value of one million euros has been seized by gardai in Co. Louth.
It is understood that 12kg of the drug were found during a raid by local detectives and members of the Garda National Drugs Unit on a house in Dunleer on Tuesday morning.
A man, understood to be in his 50s, has been arrested under the Drug Trafficking Act and is being questioned at Drogheda Garda Station.

Further Six Arrested In No Deal Operation In Birmingham
A further six people have been arrested as part of an ongoing operation targeting suspected drug dealers in Birmingham. Police carried out a series of dawn raids on Thursday 24 September, arresting a 17-year-old man, two 19-year-olds and three men aged 21, 26 and 47.

Leeds Drug Dealer Jailed For Two Years
A Leeds drug dealer who was caught by neighbourhood policing officers with 66 'wraps' of heroin and crack cocaine has been jailed for two years. Brendan McGibbon, aged 26, of Chapel Lane, Headingley, admitted possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply at Leeds Crown Court yesterday.

Sellers of the Big Issue were among 54 people arrested by Merseyside Police today in a crackdown on drug dealing in Liverpool city centre. Operation Manton targeted suspected drug dealers and drug users and 50 men and four women were arrested following a 15-month long investigation by Merseyside Police into drug dealing on the city's streets.

A new hard-hitting £1 million TV and online FRANK advertising campaign which shows the dangers of cocaine use was unveiled today by the Government. The campaign is centred on "Pablo the drug mule dog", who died as he was being used to smuggle cocaine into the country.

Death rates in Scotland are higher than in England and Wales and the difference between the nations is increasing. Traditionally this has been blamed on the higher levels of deprivation in Scotland.
