Kate McCann To Be Formal Suspect
Kate McCann has returned to a Portuguese police station, where she is expected to be declared a formal suspect in the disappearance of her daughter.
A large crowd gathered and shouted at Mrs McCann, 39, as she arrived for further questioning.
Some people were showing their support for Mrs McCann, however there was also jeers from the crowd.
A family spokesman said she is expected to be made an "arguido" or a formal suspect.
It is believed Mrs McCann will face questioning on the results of the DNA tests on samples that were taken from their apartment while they were on holidays.
Mrs McCann looked tired and drawn and she is believed to be very upset.
The McCanns have always denied any part in their daughter's disappearance.
Madeleine, aged 4, disappeared when her parents were having a meal a restaurant close to their apartment on May 3.

According to reports British police are travelling to Portugal to participate in interviews with 11 people, two of which are understood to be Mr Murat and his wife.

Police are continuing to re-interview the only official suspect in the case of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Robert Murat returned to Policia Judiciara headquarters in Portimao on Wednesday morning for a second day of questioning over the four-year-old's disappearance.

Police are questioning the only suspect named in the inquiry surrounding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann for the third time. Expatriate Briton Robert Murat, 33, is being questioned at a police station in the Algarve. Mr Murat was living a short distance from the apartment from which the four-year-old girl vanished.

The case of missing British girl Madeleine McCann is set to be closed by local police, according to the Portuguese media. Her parents Gerry and Kate McCann along with an earlier suspect, Robert Murat have each been given 'arguida' status by Portuguese Police.

Kate McCann, the mother of missing British girl Madeleine McCann, is being re-interviewed by Portuguese police. Her husband, Gerry McCann, will be re-interviewed tomorrow.
