Fresh Leads Followed In Sheffield Teen Shooting
Police investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Sheffield have said that they are following a number of new leads in the case.
South Yorkshire Police said that they were "actively pursuing some strong lines of enquiry after a good response from the public".
Jonathan Matondo was shot dead in a playground in the Burngreave area of the city on Wednesday night. A post-mortem revealed that he died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Speaking at a press conference, the teenager's local vicar, the Reverend Jack Kinsiona said that he was a regular churchgoer who had expressed an interest in becoming a preacher.
Police confirmed that a number of people have come forward to help with the investigation so far. However, they are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact them. House-house enquiries are also continuing in the area.

A number of people were arrested at the building on Tuesday when police enforced a Warrant of Possession. When the building was subsequently inspected, a number of items were reported missing.

Police appeal to callers in pensioner murder hunt
Police investigating the murder of Nottinghamshire pensioner Hilda Owen have appealed for anonymous callers to contact them again. Mrs Owen, 71, was found dead in her home in West Hill in Skegby on March 1. The widow, who lived alone, had suffered serious head injuries as a result of a number of blows to the head with a blunt instrument.

London Gun Victim Identified
A man who was shot dead in a block of flats in north-west London has been named. The body of Cima Sogojeva, 27, was discovered by firearms officers on Monday morning at his home in Caroline Court on Highfield Road, near Brent Cross. A post mortem examination found the man died from bullet wounds.

Man Arrested Over Jean McConville Murder
A man, 73, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Jean McConville. The man from the Dunmurry area has been taken to Antrim police station for questioning. Mrs McConville was murdered by the IRA in 1972. She was falsely accused of passing information to security forces.
