Sally Anne Murderer To Appeal Sentence
Mark Dixie, the convicted murder of Sally Anne Bowman is to appeal against his 34-year sentence.
Dixie's solicitor, Julie Cooper confirmed that he was to appeal his conviction.
Dixie attacked the teenage model outside her Croydon home just her boyfriend left her home at about 4.30am in September 2005.
During his trial at the Old Bailey, the court heard how Dixie stabbed the 18-year-old seven times before having sex with her. Her body was later found semi-naked in her driveway.

Appeal Issued For Man Who Failed To Return Home From Work
Police in Wolverhampton have issued an appeal for help in tracing 45-year-old Simon Wilkes, who failed to return home from work on Monday. It is understood that Mr Wilkes left his work place in Ettingshall Road at 16:30 on Monday, 3 August, but didn’t arrive at his home in Wood end Road, Wednesfield.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed outside his house. The incident happened on Thursday, as the victim, 58, was about to get into his car, which was parked on Hannet Road. The man was approached by the offender who asked him for a cigarette.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with two burglaries at a retirement home in Lambeth, southwest London. The Metropolitan Police said that they believe the woman is linked to two incidents in which residents had items stolen.
