Manslaughter Charge For Man Over Railway Death
A man has appeared in court today charged with the manslaughter of a woman who died after being hit by a train in Essex.
Darren Palmer, 38, from Clacton appeared before Colchester Magistrates Court today, charged with the manslaughter of Kelly Mack.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Chelmsford Crown Court on June 23.
Ms Mack, 29, from Clacton, was killed as she tried to cross railway tracks at Hythe Station Road in Colchester on March 27. It has been thought that her boot had become trapped in the tracks as she tried to cross.

Abu Hamza remanded in custody
The radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri has been remanded in custody at Bow Street Magistrates Court today. Abu Hamza, who faces a total of nine charges, appeared by videolink from Belmarsh prison. He was remanded in prison until July 23. The 46-year-old was arrested on May 27 on an extradition warrant served by the US government.

65-Year-Old Bailed On Asda Carpark Manslaughter Charge
A man arrested in connection with the death of 64-year-old man in an Asda car park has been bailed. It is understood that the victim died in hospital on Sunday after sustaining head injuries when he was pushed to the ground during an argument in the supermarkets disabled parking area.

Man Faces Baby Murder Charge
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby girl. Craig Jamieson, 28, from Scotscoun, appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody. Mr Jamieson was arrested on Friday, shortly after the baby died in Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, after being taken from her home in Partick.
