Teen In Court Over Man's Murder
An 18-year-old is due in court charged with the murder of a man whose tied-up body was found following a house fire. Mark Clarkson, a divorcee who lived alone, was discovered at a house in Copperbeech Close, Quinton, Birmingham on 28 March. He had suffered head and facial injuries. Police said it is not clear if he was alive when the fire began.
Welsh Police Investigate Girl's Death
Police in Wales are investigating the death of a 17-year-old girl at Borth in Ceredidigion. Officers say they are "pursuing enquiries relating to the misuse of controlled drugs". A post mortem examination is due to take place today to establish the girl’s cause of death.
Motorcyclist Dies After Crash
A motorcyclist has died after a collision between a Honda motorbike and a BMW car, police say. The A40 near Crickhowell in Powys was closed for around five hours after the incident, which happened at Glangrwyney at about 0950 BST on Sunday. Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw two motorbikers heading from Crickhowell to Abergavenny at about 0945 BST. Anyone with information should contact Gwent Police on 01633 838111. The man was aged 50.

A 62-year-old man has died in a house fire in Fife. It has been reported Len Smith, 62, arrived home and put a chip pan on before falling asleep. Emergency services were called to the blaze at the property in Buckhaven at around 1.40am. Neighbours were able to rescue him, however his brother Richard Smith, 60, died in the fire. Fife Constabulary confirmed an investigation was underway.
Brothers Charged With Manslaughter
Two brothers have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a 34-year-old man outside a pub in Dorset. The victim, who has not yet been identified by police, died from head injured following the assault in Lugger Inn, West Street, Chickerell, near Weymouth, on Saturday night. Dorset Police confirmed they had charged Robin, 30, and Ross Randall, 31, from Weymouth with manslaughter. They will appear before magistrates in Weymouth this morning.
Man Killed In Islay Crash
A man has died and two others injured in a road crash on Islay, police have said. The accident happened in Port Ellen at about 2110 BST on Saturday when a Volvo car left the road near Kildalton Cross and hit a tree. The emergency services were called, but a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other occupants of the car, both also aged 33, were airlifted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening. Strathclyde Police said a report on the incident would be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Six Arrested Over Nottingham Street Brawl Death
Police investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Nottingham have arrested six people. Joshua Bradley, of Bulwell, died following a suspected street fight in Thurland Street, on 08 February. Two men, aged 21 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Man Dies in 'Serious' Quarry Accident
A quarry worker has died following a "serious accident" at a site in Northumberland. It is understood the incident occurred at Harden Quarry, near Rothbury, shortly after 10.30am on Wednesday morning, 7 October. The accident is thought to have involved a tractor.
