Boy, 16, Shot Dead At Manchester Pub
A murder investigation is underway after a 16-year-old boy was shot dead at a pub in Greater Manchester.
Officers were called to the Robin Hood pub in Barton Road, Stretford, Manchester, following reports of shots being fired shortly before midnight.
The victim, Giuseppe Gregory was taken to Trafford General Hospital with gunshot wounds to the head. He died a short time later, police said.
Two men aged 18 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of murder, but released. A 22-year-old remains in police custody for questioning.
It is understood both released men are now being treated as witnesses.
Ch Supt Janette McCormick said: "The community has been shocked by this murder which has also, of course, left a family totally devastated.
"Giuseppe was only 16. We're very much focused on finding out who's done this and what the motive is.
"We're doing all we can, but we need your help.
"This pub holds a music event every Sunday night. There are people who attend it regularly and I'm sure were there last night.
"It's those people who go week-in, week-out who may know who is behind this."
Anyone who saw a silver Honda Accord private hire taxi in the area around the pub, have been asked to contact police.
