Archbishop Helps In Search For Claudia Lawrence
The Archbishop of York has been helping the family of missing chef Claudia Lawrence in the search for her.
Dr John Sentamu joined Claudia's father Peter in the centre of York, asking people for help to find the missing 35-year-old.
The men talked to passers-by and handed out miniature versions of poster appealing for information which have placed all over the city.
Speaking at York Minster, the Archbishop said: "Five months is a very long time, but hope never, ever dies."
Miss Lawrence, a chef at the University of York, was last seen on March 18, returning to her home in Heworth, York. She spoke to her parents on the phone that evening and sent a text to a friend, but has not been seen since then.
She was reported missing after failing to arrive for work the following morning.
Police are now treating her disappearance as suspected murder.
