Teenage Girl Bailed Over City Stabbing

A 16-year-old girl arrested following a stabbing in Belfast city centre on Monday has been released on bail.

The teenager was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the stabbing of a 35-year-old man near Royal Avenue on Monday.

The victim was attacked and stabbed twice in the shoulder in an assault that happened just after a row near public toilets around 6.15pm.

The victim remains in a critical condition in hospital. Police are also continuing to question two men, aged 25 and 18, about the attack. See: Victim 'Critical' After Belfast Knife Attack

Two men die in separate stabbing incidents
Two people have been killed in separate stabbing incidents in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Hugh McKibben, 51, of Main Street in Carrowdore died in a stabbing incident at a house on Inisharoan Court about midnight on Sunday May 5. Four people were arrested following his murder but three have since been released on police bail.

Stabbing Victim Recovering
The overnight stabbing of a teenager in north Belfast is being treated as attempted murder by police. The victim, a 19-year-old, is in a stable condition in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after being attacked in Cliftonville Avenue at about 10pm last night.

Man Arrested Following Two Stabbing Incidents In Belfast
A 27-year-old man has been arrested following two stabbing incidents in Belfast city centre. The injuries to both victims are not believed to be life-threatening. Inspector Donna McGrady said police were alerted at about 1.15am by a member of the public on Bedford Street to a fight going on in the area.

Man Released On Bail Over College Stabbing Incident
A man, 20, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing at a college in Belfast has been released on bail. Police said the man was released pending further enquiries. A 26-year-old is currently in hospital following the incident at Belfast Metropolitan College on Thursday. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Four Arrested Following Disorder In South Belfast
Four men have been arrested following public disorder incidents in the university area of south Belfast on Thursday, November 14th. Police responded to a number of offences, including resisting and obstructing police, and assault on police. Three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, have been charged and are due to appear in court in December.
