Kilo Of Semtex Recovered During Easter Searches

The PSNI has revealed more than a kilo of Semtex was seized during searches in south Armagh and east Tyrone over the Easter weekend.

The searches were sparked by the discovery of weapons and the arrests of three men near Keady in south Armagh on Good Friday, following ongoing anti-terror operation against dissident activity.

A horizontal mortar containing more than half a kilo of Semtex, and another half kilo of Semtex, were among the haul.

Three timer power units, booster tubes and a detonator, coffee grinders and 25 kilos of home-made explosives were also recovered - along with an automatic weapon, a silencer and ammunition.

Four Arrested Following Disorder In South Belfast
Four men have been arrested following public disorder incidents in the university area of south Belfast on Thursday, November 14th. Police responded to a number of offences, including resisting and obstructing police, and assault on police. Three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, have been charged and are due to appear in court in December.
